Entry into the MLWS and BC program, Grades 10 -12

China Maple Leaf Educational Systems (CMLES) offers an international education program designed for Chinese Nationals and international students. This is a dual program certified by Chinese Provinces, local authorities, the PRC, Cognia and BC Ministry of Education. Graduates can receive certificates from both the Chinese government and the BC Ministry of Education.
中国枫叶教育集团为中国学生和国际学生提供国际教育课程。这是一个由中国各省、地方当局、中华人民共和国、Cognia和BC省教育部认证的双重课程。毕业生可以获得中国政府和BC省教育部颁发的毕业证书。
The international program is delivered in Maple Leaf International Schools (MLIS) for students in grades 10, 11 and 12. The program is delivered in English, except for some Chinese courses.

Students who have completed grade 9 or equivalent and meet the WS Program entrance requirements are eligible to enroll in the WS Program. English language competency is important. Students meeting the requirements begin WS and Chinese courses immediately, but those with limited fluency must enroll in the Foundations Program or Bridging Program. These programs will extend the student’s program to 3.5 or 4 years in order to graduate successfully with English language competencies that will allow them success in post-secondary studies.
完成9年级或同等学业水平的学生，并满足枫叶世界学校课程入学要求，有资格入学枫叶世界学校课程。英语语言能力很重要。达到入学标准的学生可以立即开始学习枫叶世界学校课程和中文课程，但英语水平有限的学生必须进入基础课程或衔接课程学习。基础课程或衔接课程将延长学生的高中学习时间至3.5或4年，使学生在毕业时拥有相当的英语语言水平，帮助他们在中学阶段之后的学习取得成功。
MLES has a comprehensive system for assessing student competency, placing them appropriately, and clearly outlining the promotion procedures. Central to this process is the ML English Proficiency Test.
枫叶教育有一套全面的能力评估体系，能妥善安排学生入学课程级别，并清晰列出学生的升班流程，这一过程中最为重要的就是枫叶英语能力评估测试。
Policy: The policy requires each student to write the ML English Proficiency Test so the student can be placed in the correct entry level program. The results will determine the pathway students will take and how long it will take for them to reach graduation. The student pathway will be reviewed regularly and adjusted as appropriate.
政策：该政策要求每个学生都要参加枫叶英语能力测试，这样学生才能进入正确的入门级课程就读。测试结果将决定学生毕业的方式，以及需要多长时间才能毕业。我们将定期审核学生升班流程，并做适时调整。

• Language Elective Teachers administer the test under the direction of the ESL Director and International Program Principal.

• All students write this test before they enter the Grade 10 program.

• Test scores will determine where students will be placed. The results of the ML English Proficiency Test are under the control of the International Program Principal and ESL Director.
• 考试分数会决定学生入学处于哪一个班级。考试结果由国际课程校长和ESL主任负责。
1. Foundations Program 基础班
Students who are placed in the Foundations program typically study for two semesters (one full year) before they can enter a higher-level course.
处于基础班的学生一般需要在该班学习2个学期（一整学年）才能进入更高阶的课程学习
2. Bridging Program 过渡班
Students who are placed in the Bridging program typically study for one semester before they can enter the Full WS program.
处于过渡班的学生通常需要学习一个学期，才能进入到枫叶世界学校课程学习
3. Bridging Advanced 高级过渡班
Students who are placed in the Bridging Advanced program typically study for one month before they can enter the Full BC program.
处于高级过渡班的学生通常需要学习1个月的时间，才能进入到枫叶世界学校课程
4. Full WS Program 枫叶世界学校课程
Students who have scored 65% or more in the ML English Proficiency Test will directly enter the Full World School program.
学生在英语能力测试中成绩达到65%及以上可以直接进入枫叶世界学校课程学习
