Dear SWIS Community,
We are delighted to share with you the success of our Class of 2020 in the May examination session of International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP).
This year’s cohort, the school’s second, had an especially challenging year while navigating the obstacles posed by the Covid-19 outbreak. Students continued to persevere in their studies while they adjusted to life in quarantine, adapted to online learning instruction, and dealt with an immeasurable amount of other difficulties along their path to success.
With the dedicated assistance of parents, support from staff, and determination of each individual student, our SWIS 2020 cohort has achieved excellent results.
Our second graduating cohort has achieved:
100% - Students who passed and received the full IB Diploma.
72% - Students who were awarded the Bilingual Diplomas.
28% - Students who scored 40 and above.
43 - The highest grade achieved by a student this year (out of a total possible 45 points).
36 - The SWIS 2020 overall grade average (world average is around 29.9)
On behalf of the SWIS Leadership Team, I would like to express my sincere thanks to our teachers, whose guidance and appraisal of student success was reflected within the scores students achieved, and for the trust and support of our parents who provided such a stable foundation during an uncertain time.
Most importantly, congratulations to the Class of 2020 !
