Our CISB Montessori program is centered around the celebrated philosophy of Dr Maria Montessori. Our teachers observe, plan, monitor progress and provide deep differentiation based on each student’s individual needs and stages of development. The children in the classroom respect themselves, others, and the environment.

Language acquisition is nurtured in our Montessori environments. Vocabulary enrichment is developed through the use of songs, objects, stories, and conversations. There are indoor and outdoor activities scheduled throughout the day that promote gross motor, coordination and socialization skills.

At CISB, we take the Montessori further by providing a transition to the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP), which begins in Pre-K3. Our Montessori teachers have trained with our elementary teams to facilitate connections between the Montessori syllabus and key PYP themes. Students will easily adapt to the full PYP program at age 3.
